I took a short hike in sunny weather to the Kadowakitsuri Bridge and the Kadowaki lighthouse on the Izu coast near our ryokan. I think the purpose of the bridge is to get tourists out over the cliff edge to get a different viewpoint. The terrain is all volcanic. The suspension bridge has a very ineresting design. I think the two catenaries below and to the sides of the bridge deck are to counteract swaying. What do you think, Bruce?
